Contemplating the natural order of things within and without leads to emotional understanding (in psychology called emotional intelligence). Through contemplative guidance we establish inner balance, not by trying to change the actions of others, but rather by changing one's own reaction to them. It is this change in one's self that gives birth to change in others. Acceptance of self, others, nature, world, is the first step toward openness, spontaneity, compassion, clarity, spirituality, and ultimately world peace. Learning and discovering self acceptance and self- compassion uncovers any preconceived beliefs about oneself and others and strengthens one's true intuitive awareness and inner wisdom.
